WHAT WE BELIEVE

We are a member of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.  To learn more about our beliefs, click here.

In summary, we believe, teach, and confess:

  • In the Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • That the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God - the only source and norm for doctrine.

  • That man, since the fall, is by nature sinful and therefore has earned nothing but punishment and has separated himself from a holy God.

  • But that God in love sent His Son into the world to atone for the sin of all mankind, and that on the cross, Jesus finished His work of redemption.

  • That on the third day Jesus rose from the dead and later ascended into heaven.

  • That the only way for a man to receive the forgiveness of sins is by faith alone in Jesus alone.

  • That faith itself is a gift of the Holy Spirit.

  • That good works necessarily flow from faith but that works do not earn or help earn salvation.

  • That Holy Baptism is a miraculous act of God's Grace enabling infants also to become part of God's holy family.

  • That in Holy Communion we receive with the bread and wine, the true body and blood of Jesus, and that in
this sacrament we receive forgiveness of sins and strength for our faith.

  • That one day Jesus will come again in glory to judge both the living and the dead.
